VISITS TO ORANG ASLI (ABORIGINES) VILLAGES IN MARAN, PAHANG. (31/10/14~1/11/14)

Assalamualaikum. 

Alhamdulillah..Persatuan Darul Fitrah & MACMA has successfully organized Da'wah visits to Orang Asli (aborigines) villages in Maran Pahang which began on 30 October to 1 November 2014. 

This mission was led by Ustaz Abdullah Zubair as director of the program. During this time , we had a total of 45 participants comprising of Darul Fitrah Staff, Committee members of Darul Fitrah, Lecturer from UniSZA, new converts (Muallaf), practical students from UniSZA and also UniSZA's students from Mercy Club. In addition, Majlis Agama Islam Pahang (Religious Department Pahang), Maran Health Clinic, The District Council and the Department of Public Works Maran also joined the program. 

In this program, we have visited two Orang Asli villages, Kg. Sungai Jempol and Kg. Bangas. During our visits for 3 days and 2 nights we visited the Muslim and Non-Muslims there.There are only 3 Muslim families in each village. The acceptance of Islam is still poor among the adults. However the kids go to the Goverment schools are are taught Islam together with the other Muslim kids and they can even recite Surah al Fatiha and Syahadah well. We hope that our regular visits will warm them up to us and this will eventually give us an opportunity to share Islam with them.

We also donated groceries and clothes to their families and carried out recreational activities with the kids like playing games and a video session. The kids had a good time and are looking forward to our return.

Alhamdulillah, our arrival was welcomed by the native people in Kampung Sungai Jempol and Kampung Bangas. Updated information and photos will be posted from time to time, Insya Allah.
